(12 August 2021 - FRESNO) Philippine fast food giant Jollibee is entering the Fresno market with a free-standing location slated for 515 E Shaw Ave in Fresno. The former site of Bank of the West next to the Fashion Fair Mall has already been cleared and levelled; ready for new construction. Jollibee opened their first store in the US in 1998 and has slowly expanded their footprint in the country since. With locations in Bakersfield, Sacramento, and even Delano, a Fresno location has been considered, by many, to be long overdue.
The chain has 28 California stores already listed on their location list with 3 of those listed as coming soon. The Fresno location is not yet listed but the Fashion Fair website has already included Jollibee in their directory.
The Philippine restaurant has countless locations overseas as well as in 12 US states. Jollibee specialises in chicken, spaghetti, burgers, palabok, 'burger-steak' (think Salisbury), peach-mango pie, and even serves 'traditional Filipino and Western breakfast staples'.
