(21 December 2021 - FRESNO) It's been almost a year since we first started reporting on this and now, a new 2,400 sq foot Chipotle restaurant is one step closer to reality just north of Figarden Loop at River Oak Plaza south-east of Brawley & Herndon. In a follow up to our post in August 2021, the Chipotle Mexican Grill (6702 North Brawley Ave) is stated to be a new build directly south of the newly opened burger grill, The Habit. The new location of the Mexican food chain, is at this time planning for a first of its kind in the Fresno area: a drive thru location. As current allowances do not permit drive-thru restaurants to build within 400 feet of each other, an exception has been requested to adjust the requirement to ~128 feet due to the makeup of the plaza, namely Warner Ave's division between The Habit and the future Chipotle.
