(16 September 2022 - FRESNO) SoCal Asian fusion favorite, WaBa Grill is slated for a Fresno debut in Q1 or Q2 of 2023 at the expanding River Oak Plaza at Herndon & Brawley in NW Fresno. WaBa Grill is very popular throughout SoCal and Arizona, but, currently, with the closest WaBa locations to Fresno being in Bakersfield and Santa Clarita, the rice bowl restaurant has yet to officially break into northern California.
Already home to Dutch Bros, GoodGuys Tire, Tractor Supply, The Habit, Chipotle, and some other shops, the River Oak Plaza has seen massive growth in the past 3 years and is only expected to grow. According to RestaurantNews, at least 20 WaBa locations are slated to open throughout the northern Central Valley.
